Firewalls : Firewalla

I encourage everyone who has a network to get a standalone or dedicated physical firewall device. Most devices available to consumers have integrated firewalls. While this is okay, it is best to get a device that has been purpose built for firewall activities.

Firewalla is a great product allowing users visibility into their network. Most users do not have a way to verify the bandwidth they are paying for beyond using a speed test website. This is okay if you want a guestimate. Having a device within your environment that has the ability to monitor your bandwidth usage and throughput is just one of the many useful tools incorporated into Firewalla.
